Many years ago we had a couple of walls taken down to open up the house – especially the kitchen which was a long shoe-box shape. Doing this left the fireplace standing open in the middle of the house and totally exposed. I love the brick but have wanted to do some decorating on it too. Finally we had some shelves installed.
