When I am getting a little hungry in the afternoon (or anytime really!), instead of grabbing a cookie I make a little dried fruit and nut/seed snack. This offers sweets but fiber and iron with it. And the nuts and seeds add a good fat and protein to keep you feeling full much longer that cookies would!! Pairs well with a cup of tea.
