Our client a moved into a beautiful townhouse – but it needed some personalization. She didn’t like the color scheme throughout the house, she didn’t really need a dining room – but did really need an office. We helped her to come to the realization that trying to make this room function as a dining room and an office was not going to work. She decided that a full time office was what she needed and what would make her most happy and comfortable in her new space.

The first order of business was to change the color on the walls to something lighter and brighter. She choose a beautiful warm neutral from Sherwin Williams called Muslin.

She repurposed a rug with a low pile so she could roll her office chair over it without a problem, she found a stylish desk and storage pieces from Wayfair to complete the room. New lighting was also a design element that made a big difference! We choose a piece that no longer pegged the room as a dining room as well as one that provided ample light for working.
Now she has a dedicated work space all to her self and with a larger kitchen table doesn’t miss the dining room a bit!
